I obtained this small poster from a local surf shop announcing the release of the Step Into Liquid movie.  I felt the urge to paint the surge of the wave.  At the time I was taking personal nlessons from my friend who at the time was a Professor of Art at George Washington University...she gave me B+!  Not bad to recieve from a profession eye for one of my first paintings that I approached with little ones running and crawling around me feet after a looooong time without a paintbrush in my hand.  
 
I have become obsessed with this wave and repaint and play with it digitally and then further enhance  it with acrylic pens, paints and gel mediums.  This is a photograph that I adhered and sealed to a high quality imported Italian ceramic tile.  
 
This series is NOT intended to be a coaster, trivet or used for food or backsplashes unless they are not going to be exposed to water, etc.  They were purely  intended as decor or wall art.
